I’ve kind of been at the online shopping game for a while now, and one of my biggest red flags when purchasing is Asian models. As in every one of the marketing photos features a tiny adorable girl. This leads to buying clothes labelled with a wide variety of sizes that never match up to what I expect.

I’ve been put off buying from ChicStar for this exact reason. I of course want to buy clothes that will fit me.

But I’ve given in because this dress is just lovely:

I’ve been reading some books to the gremlins about Louis Braille, and thought they might like to try making their own braille. I’ve already got one braille maker, so I’m going to order a few more.

Holiday!

I’ve never had one before, but I now have a ‘health goal’. I want to be all healthy and symptom free by the end of the year so I can go on holiday to Macau and Hong Kong with my awesome brother.

I’ve got an appointment with the urology specialist on Monday, so we’ll see what he has to say. Anyhow, I have booked the trip, so now I’ve got something positive to focus on.

I’m going to fly peasant air (Viva Macau) over, and Qantas on the way back.

Flight Over- Sydney to Macau

I can’t really knock Viva Macau too much. I have, after all, flown Aeroflot in the early 90s, and it can’t be scarier than that. And you’ve got to admit, this is a pretty awesome price!

Qantas is a lot more exxy, but at least they will feed and entertain me. Also, I secretly love airports and can’t pass up the chance to go to HKG.

Yes, that is the Star Trek race we have decided I belong to. My husband is a Vulcan.

I haven’t seen the new movie yet, but I will get around it.

I’d been thinking about Trek lately and had a yearning to watch Next Gen again. We started at Season 7 and plan to work our way backward until Deanna’s hair gets too big and Wesley’s sweaters get too ugly. Then we will go through Voyager again.

Anyway:

I’m not embarrassed to admit that I wear extensions. If people comment on my mysterious length growing ability, I will happily tell them the truth. On the other hand, I don’t go shouting about it from the rooftops. A little mystery is a good thing. I also find that people want to believe, even when I’ve clearly grown 15cm of curls overnight. I own about 30 or so different pieces in a variety of colours/styles/lengths. I replace well-loved pieces after 3 months, as they start to get a bit ratty.

I am still looking for a good use for my old pieces. A hairy art installation perhaps?

I have ordered 2 new sets of locks from my favourite hair seller, www.playwithhair.com. I’m not going to share exactly what I got, but they are something like this:
